All presentation sessions—including keynote addresses, papers, and posters—will be held at Building 10, Main Campus, Waseda University, from September 13th to 15th, 2024. Information about access to the campus is available from https://www.waseda.jp/top/en/access/waseda-campus.
Allocated Time for Each Presentation Type:
- Keynote Presentations: 50 minutes for the talk, followed by a 10-minute question and answer period.
- Paper Presentations (Concurrent Sessions): 20 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for audience questions. (*Please note that a 5-minute interval is scheduled between presentations to allow time for room changes.)
- Poster Session: September 15th, 2024, from 10:05 AM to 10:30 AM.
Preparation for Paper Presentations:
- The tentative schedule for the conference is available from the conference website at https://call-research.org/schedule/?event=call2024.
- Presenters are advised to arrive at their assigned presentation room at least 5 minutes early to set up their slides or any other visual materials.
- Presenters are expected to check in with the student helpers in the room prior to the session’s start.
During Your Paper Presentation:
- The Chairperson/student helpers will introduce each presenter and their topic, as well as moderate the Q&A segment.
- For Keynote Presentations and Paper Presentations, student helpers will provide timekeeping support by displaying signs when 5 minutes and 1 minute remain. A final signal will be given when the presentation time (20 or 15 minutes) has expired, indicating that it is time to conclude and begin the Q&A session.
- For Keynote Presentations, Chairperson will similarly notify presenters when there are 5 minutes and 1 minute left, and give a final signal when the 50-minute presentation period is up. The Chairperson will then facilitate a 10-minute Q&A session.
- For Poster Presentations, posters will be displayed in the hallway for the duration of the conference. Authors are expected to be present at their posters on September 15th, 2024, from 10:05 AM to 10:30 AM, to interact with attendees and discuss their work. Posters should be designed in Portrait (vertical) A0 format. Clear tape to attach the poster to the wall will be provided.
Other Information:
- Wifi will be available through eduroam (supported by most institutions), but if you cannot get a connection, you can get an individual username and password for the Waseda wifi from the Reception desk.
- It is advisable to store PPT presentations on USB and use them on the computers provided in the parallel session rooms to avoid compatibility issues. The parallel session room computers may not have Internet access.
